Cross-bench peer Lord Digby Jones brought the London CIV Annual Conference to a fitting conclusion yesterday as he regaled the delegates with tales of his successes at the CBI, being a member of Gordon Brown’s government and his great love of Leicester Tigers.
 
Mike Craston, Chair said he was delighted with the two day event at Twickenham Stadium. “This was only my second Conference as Chair and we were really pleased with the attendance of so many key people. Over 140 people attended at some stage, including nearly 70 of our Client Funds. 
 
“Although we had some excellent presentations, I thought the four workshops worked particularly well. Energy Transition, Diversity in Equity Styles, Real Estate and Alternative Credit are key areas for us, and all were well received. Looking at the feedback, our delegates came up with some inspiring ideas for us as a Pension Pool to now take forward.
 
“My thanks to all our sponsors for their continued support, all our excellent speakers for their enthusiastic presentations, Tanni Grey Thompson and Digby Jones as special guests and of course our Client Funds for continuing to show their great support for our endeavours.”

Local Government Pooling, the climate agenda and Levelling Up are all subjects for the industry to carefully consider and discuss and we did just that.
