Thinking about applying?
Throughout our recruitment processes, we assess alignment with our cultural values through competency-based assessment, focusing on practical examples of how candidates demonstrate those values. For leadership roles, this is complemented by an emphasis on the ability to lead and develop others alongside strong technical expertise.
Together, this approach supports long-term resilience and succession planning.
The exact process is role dependant, but most candidates can expect the following stages. We will explain what to expect at the start of each process.
Application
Submit your CV and answer any application questions. We’ll review how your skills align with the role.
Initial Conversation
A member of our people team will reach out, get to know you, talk through your background and answer any questions you have about the role or London CIV.
Interview or Assessment Stage
Most roles include two or more interviews, meet the hiring team and share examples of your experience. Some roles may include a presentation, or a case study exercise.
Final Stage
Some positions involve a further conversation with senior colleagues or other members of the team.
Decision and feedback
We’ll keep you updated throughout the process, share the outcome promptly and guide successful candidates through the next steps.
What we look for
Technical skills are important, but we’re also interested in how candidates approach challenges, work with others and contribute to a one-team culture. Throughout the recruitment process, we’ll be looking for examples of collaboration, integrity, responsibility and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
